My Little "Cowboy"

Is he a cutie or what?? I can't believe he just turned 8! I don't often get the opportunity to take a lot of photos of Anthony, not like i do with the girls...
but the other day, it was just he and i, so i suggested we go down the road to the farm and take some photos of him, this is his dad's hat, it's a little big on him, but so cute!

Is Spring ever going to come?

It "IS",fficially spring, but it sure doesn't feel like it...i was outside the other day, when it was somewhat on the warm side, and i spotted some hornets, i guess that is a sure sign of spring...and the ladybugs! they are starting to show themselves in my house anyway!

"I have a new Studio!!!"

After almost 3 years of doing photography, i have an official studio!! I am so excited!! Thanks to my friend Kelly... she found the ad on craigslist, we went to check it out together, and after doing some serious pondering, i decided to join a coop of photographers. So actually i will be sharing a space with 5 other photographers with 2 different studio rooms. It will be awesome to be able to bounce different ideas off the others. We hope to have an open house to allow everyone to come and see the space and the different work that everyone does. The studio is in Alfred and it's actually in an old jail house, so it has lots of potential and lots of different elements that make it quite unique.

I did my first session in the new space on saturday! below i have posted a few images of Holly, she was a trooper for me, thanks holly for being my very first client!!

Photo shoot in a snow storm!

Thought i'd try something different for a change... i found this cute little dress in NYC ( oh which reminds me i haven't posted images from NYC yet, have I??)
thought it would be cute to use for the younger girls like karaghan's age.
so in the middle of a snow storm, i told her to throw on the dress and some shoes, she picked the yellow chucks!!

OH BABY OH BABY! Holy cuteness!!

I posted some images a couple of weeks ago of baby Karsyn, well i did a session of her today at 2 weeks old, her mom and i had so much fun!! check out the cowboy hat, it was a little big but i couldn't resist using it on her, she was sooo good natured about the whole thing!! o

I can't believe it's already the middle of January!! where has the month gone?? The photography business is a little slow right now, but i have posted a few new and i mean "new" baby images....i went to the hospital on monday to take some photos of my friend Holly's new baby, she was only 3 hours old!! How fun!! she is so beautiful and a great name to boot, "welcome baby Karsyn"!

I'm so far behind!!

With the ice storm that reeked havoc on so many of us, we were without power for almost 5 days, and 3 out of the 5 of us got the flu during the power outage! ugh!!
when the power returned it was my turn to experience the oh so wonderful stomach flu! So needless to say, i'm feeling a bit, no that's not the right word, extremely behind on everything!!! shopping, decorating, baking, all of it, but i am so grateful to my fiends and family for helping us out with the use of their homes, showers and meals during it all! we were so blessed, isn't that what the holidays are really all about?

Fun session...

I did this dad and his daughter about a month ago, but haven't had a chance to post in a while, they were so fun, then they picked out the one of her by herself for their christmas cards, the one with the hat on, so cute!

My christmas card

I had a plan in my head of what i wanted to do for a christmas card, so i got the kids ready on a whim, threw some clothes at them and told them we were doing photos!
NO!!!! they complained, they whined, they moved in slow motion.... i actually had to bribe them with something, but i couldn't even tell you what that was, it has slipped my mind! Well, what i had in mind for a card went right out the window, they (my kids) had other plans, so here is my christmas card, they wanted it to be fun instead of posed and boring like their mom was going to do. then i asked my friend kelly if she had any ideas for a card template,(she's a photographer too) something to go with the whole peace thing, and this is what we came up with. thanks kel!

I did some photos for my friend on sunday, she wanted to have some pictures taken of her kids and then some taken of her neice and nephew, as a surprise for the kids mom for christmas.... so we did the first set of siblings and well, you can see the rest for yourself.... thanks guys!! It was fun!!
